Poetry, Prose, Written Word

E-mail Print PDF

Writing poetry and prose (and the polemic) is one of the things I do best (the others are hashed out in various documentary formats on this web site). I have written hundreds of poems, a good number of which have been published and are out there bound in book form on various book store and library shelves large and small or have appeared in journals, newspapers, and magazines. I used to type on an electronic typewriter that I found somewhere. I use pocket notebooks like literate photographs. The poems are about my observations. If you seek legitimation, visit the venues that have carried the work over the years. There will be plenty more to come, so check back here as you are motivated to do so.

The Beak of the Woodcock Bird

E-mail Print PDF
I woke up warm under the blankets
from a dream where I'd landed in my private jet
in a park in Las Vegas, Nevada, wondering
why I didn't choose to land

in Aspen or Park City in stead. I
laid there still, heavy pounds
of down around me cocooned.
I didn't want to, yet, open my eye. ...
